After Friday s festivities Al and I were a little tired on Saturday morning, but we were up at 5.30am as we were going to race again as a relay at Bonelli TriEvents. I also was putting up a booth for POLAR USA and also representing OCEAN POTION SUNCARE. As well as answer any questions on Hammer Nutrition. SO racing a relay was the sensible thing to do and being able to share the morning with my husband was priceless.
There is nothing easy about Sprint distance events it is all out! The swim was a water start which was better than running into the Lake, my goggles would fog up and I mis judged the first buoy! Al did an okay bike and then I ran the 5km mostly in the pain zone!
It is always nice to place but what makes the event for both of us are the other athletes and friends of ours we see. I was also able to rep the new V800 Polar monitors which will hit the stores in June and give out Ocean Potion. I had quite a few athletes ask about Hammer Nutrition and of course Hammer my little min pin was a social butterfly! He also managed to get his photo taken with Leslie Paterson who is a 3 time X Terra World Champion!
